Topic: The Carrera Unified Formulation: a high-fidelity tool for the analysis of structures with enhanced computational efficiency

内容简介:

本次报告主要介绍了统一公式(简称CUF)的关键支柱,从90年代早期的思想到关于非线性分析和与商业代码的接口的最新进展。研究结果表明,该方法特别适用于有着多应力场多层结构的三维应力分布的分析。CUF模型的另一个重点则是聚焦于一维方法上。与三维有限元法相比,一维方法可进一步提高计算效率,大量节省所需内存和计算时间。

这次的报告主要讲述理论背景和广泛的应用概述,涵盖了MUL2课题组的大部分当前研究课题,如非线性多尺度框架、全球局部策略和与商业代码的接口。

Introduction:

This topic presents the key pillars of the Unified Formulation, referred to as CUF, from the early ideas of the late 90s to the most recent advances concerning nonlinear analyses and interface with commercial codes. The second wave of CUF models focused on beams. The 1D approach resulted in further computational efficiency with up to twofold saving in memory and time if compared to 3D FEM.

This topic delivers the theoretical background and broad application overview spanning most of the current research topics of the MUL2 group, such as the nonlinear multiscale framework, global-local strategies, and interfaces with commercial codes.

报告人简介:

Erasmo Carrera是意大利都灵理工大学航空结构与气动弹性学教授,1986年毕业于该校航空学专业,1988年获得空间工程专业学位,1991年获得航空航天工程博士学位。Carrera发表相关论文大约有800篇,并且是几本著作的合著者。他是都灵理工大学MUL2课题组的创始人和领导者。课题组由欧盟委员会、意大利政府、都灵政治和工业合作伙伴(如巴西航空工业公司)资助,课题组约有10个重要项目。

Carrera主要获得荣誉和职位:在2013年工程与材料学科和2015年工程学科被Thompson Reuters评为前一百的高被引学者;高级材料和结构力学总编辑;飞机和航天器科学高级创始人和总编辑;都灵科学院的成员之一;A.I.D.A.A.主席。

Speaker’s Biography:

Erasmo Carrera is Professor of Aerospace Structures and Aeroelasticity at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, where he graduated in Aeronautics, 1986, and Space Engineering, 1988. He earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering in 1991. Carrera is author and coauthor of about 800 papers and a few recent books. He is founder and leader of the MUL2 group at Politecnico di Torino.

Main awards and roles: Highly Cited Researchers (Top 100 Scientist) by Thompson Reuters in two sections - Engineering and Materials (2013) and Engineering (2015); Editor-in-Chief of Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures; Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Advanced in Aircraft and Spacecraft Sciences; President of A.I.D.A.A.
